Founder's Journey
Gulsun is a qualified Mental Health Social Worker with over two decades of experience supporting individuals through life’s most challenging transitions. Beginning her career in 2001 as a support worker, she has since held roles including Case Manager, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Service Manager, and Mental Health Counsellor.
Gulsun specialises in working with individuals living with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, and complex neurological conditions, particularly during hospital discharge and rehabilitation. She provides compassionate guidance to participants and their families during their most vulnerable moments, ensuring a smooth transition to community living while prioritizing dignity, independence, and long-term well-being.
With a strong commitment to collaboration, Gulsun works closely with hospitals, rehabilitation teams, and support services to coordinate tailored care and maximise outcomes. She has extensive experience helping clients navigate complex circumstances, move away from crises, and work toward their goals with confidence and stability.
In her spare time, Gulsun enjoys hiking, photography, Pilates, travel, cooking, and sharing meals with loved ones.

Specialist Support Coordinator
Belinda Ellis is a dedicated Specialist Support Coordinator with over 30 years of experience in the disability sector. Her expertise includes navigating hospital discharge, supporting individuals to find suitable housing, and assisting people with psychosocial disabilities and multiple and complex needs to achieve the best outcomes. Belinda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Disability and has specialised training and experience in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Belinda's personal hobbies include cooking, outdoor adventures, reading, and connecting with loved ones. Belinda’s passion for making a positive impact shines through her professional achievements and personal interests. 😊👏

Specialist Support Coordinator
Irene Vido is a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Coordinator and Accredited Social Worker with extensive experience working in the NDIS sector. She is highly skilled in navigating both the NDIS and mainstream services to support individuals with complex care needs. With a person-centred, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach, Irene works closely with participants, their families, and other professionals to ensure tailored and meaningful support.
Specialising in hospital discharge planning and complex case coordination, Irene is committed to walking alongside the people she supports, meeting them where they are, and empowering them to navigate their path at their own pace. She has a deep passion for mental health and extensive experience supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, and other neurological conditions.
Fluent in both English and Italian, Irene communicates with warmth, patience, and clarity, ensuring that participants feel informed and confident while navigating the complexities of the NDIS, health, and mental health systems. She takes the time to truly understand each person’s goals, interests, and challenges, providing thoughtful and effective support.
Outside of work, Irene enjoys spending quality time with her children, art, staying fit at the gym, and cooking for her family. She also finds listening to music and art, fulfilling hobbies.

Level 2 Support Coordination
Level 2 support coordination plays a crucial role in ensuring you receive the utmost care and assistance on your unique journey towards achieving your goals. At this level, we take on a personalised approach, tailoring our services to meet your specific needs and aspirations.
We assist you to implement the various supports and services outlined in your NDIS plan. This involves navigating NDIS, Hospital Discharge support, engaging quality therapy and support providers and working with other relevant sectors such as justice, DV and mental health services to assist you to engage and coordinate services to achieve your goals.
We focus on building your capacity to exercise choice and control over your NDIS plan. We coordinate your supports with you to ensure they work together seamlessly and effectively.

Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination
Specialist Support Coordination will provide all the services provided by a level 2 support coordinator and in addition, will address changes in circumstances or crisis events that may impact your NDIS plan. Your Level 3 SSC will be qualified and experienced to assist you to navigate complexities with NDIS and across sectors. This is a short-term intensive service that will gradually shift to level 2 Support Coordination. Please be aware that your support coordinator will not change when you shift from level 3 to level 2.
Your level 3 Support Coordinator will hold a tertiary qualification and will specialise in one or more of the following areas:
- Hospital Discharge
- Justice
- Domestic and Family Violence.
- Alcohol and other Drugs
- Neurological Conditions
- Autism Spectrum
- Psychosocial Disabilities
- Mental Health

At Interconnection Services we understand the many challenges of hospital discharge and we are committed to walking by your side every step of the way. Your individual circumstances will navigate the way forward and we will ensure you have a seamless and stress-free transition home. We specialise in SDA and home and living services. We will work with you and your team to inform and empower you to explore suitable accommodation options. If you plan to return home and you need modifications to your home, we will connect you with home modification experts. We will work in close collaboration with you and your support system to ensure you are making informed decisions and exercising control and choice every step of the way. We take the time to understand your unique challenges and we will work at your pace to ensure you are heard and achieving the best possible outcomes.
